Last night I ventured all the way to the west side of Manhattan to witness the glory that was the S2011 Alice + Olivia presentation for New York Fashion Week. According to the release, the collection was inspired by the 'individual'. It was flirty, it was rock n roll, it was a perfectly classic combination of old school East Village bohemian meets 70's UK mod. The plush gold drapery served as a flawless backdrop to the Grecian dresses, all-feather vests and skirts, animal prints, sequin and beaded minis, and printed manicures.

What I love about presentations versus runway shows, is that one really has the opportunity to get in there, capture the details...and of course, talk to the models.

Oh! And allow me to mention the SHOES! This was Alice + Olivia's debut presentation for its new line of footwear - will be in stores in February.
